WHY LORI? We interviewed Lori because she has been a trusted, strong, positive female leader in the non-profit community who offered our Founder, Brooke Boyle, support and perspective about community building through safer spaces since before Engage became a thing.
Lori is the Executive Director of an organization we love to partner with focused on youth driven programming in Music, Visual and Media Arts, Literary Arts, Education and Leadership.
And teens comprise half of their board.
Most people hate the idea of meeting just to meet, but for Lori Roddy, Executive Director of The Neutral Zone, these types of interactions have come to yield some of the most rewarding connections.
Lori sees opportunity - opportunity to establish an initial relationship that could have an impact in the future. It’s less about the reason for meeting, and more about the opportunity it seeds for the future.
“By maintaining and building a relationship, cool ideas emerge over time.”
